Makin Plans

Today we talked a lot about what we're gonna do with the land. Are we gonna get a mobile home? Are we gonna build? We don't know.

We're both leaning towards building. It has a more permanent feel to it and it would last a lot longer than a mobile home. Obviously that's what permanent means. What I meant is that if we build, hopefully we won't have to replace floors that give out or crappy walls/roof like sometimes happens with trailers/mobile homes. I'm so over that.

Anyways, building. If we do decide to build, we think that we may try to find someone to do the shell and possibly the mechanics (wiring, plumbing, hvac) and just finish everything else ourselves. It wouldn't be extremely hard, just time consuming. And hopefully we could get some family members out every once in a while to help us out.

With the restrictions, a house has to be at least 1,000 square feet, a trailer has to be 800, you're only allowed to have 1 house per 7 acres, but you can have a guest house. I don't think there are any restrictions for the guest house as far as size goes. But the reason I'm bringing it up is because I'm wondering. I wonder if maybe they'd let us put up a guest house and live in it until we completed construction of the main house. The reason I ask is because Lowe's sells outdoor buildings that are 16x24 and they're two story. That's 768 square feet. Just a few shy of 800. Wonder if they'd let us slide for the duration of construction? I mean, it's not like I wanna live there forever. Less than a year and a half, for sure.

I don't know. All I'm saying is that I want to get out of these apartments and out on our land as soon as possible without doing a half assed job of everything. We still have a LOT of land to clear, especially with the way we want things done. Which is awesomely, of course.

Anyways, I'm off of here for the night. Better take something to help me sleep since my mind is running 90 to nothing, thinking of house plans.

Costumes!

So we decided to go to the costume party at the Frontier Bar tonight. It hasn't exactly kicked off just yet, but we're here having a couple beers. I'm rockin my costume! Thanks to Christal for helping me put it on since Keith wouldn't.

That's all for tonight. See yous guys tomorrow!

Nothing Worth Mentioning

Nothing at all. Except that I felt like crap today, but that's kind of old news by now, isn't it? I just don't understand my body's hatred towards me. God, if it's not gonna get pregnant, the least it could do is behave.

I wish we already had a house on our land. I felt myself wanting to go there after work today instead of the apartment. That has to mean it was the right choice, right?

Not sure of our plans for tomorrow. We were gonna go to a bar's costume party. It all depends on whether or not I feel like shit tomorrow. I don't think any of my family in Anahuac is going trick or treating this year, so I really don't know what we'll do.

And Sunday I have to make a tough choice. Best friend's senior recital, or cousin's birthday? I don't know who would be more disappointed. Not that I want to upset either of them. But as Ursula says: "Life's full of tough choices iddin it?"

Land HO!

We did it! We put down half of the down payment today and signed the contract for 9.08 acres! It's about 6 miles outside of Jasper on CR 278 in a fairly rural area. The agency owns it, so the financing is through them, which is good. And they've already had it surveyed and made sure there were no title issues of back taxes and everything. So we pretty much have no extra expenses. Not even a closing cost. All we have to pay is the second half of the down payment at closing and like a $75 fee to file the paperwork with the courthouse. AND since the property is literally covered with pines, we get an agricultural tax break, which is already in effect and will remain unless we cut them all down! SCORE!!!

It was super easy. I almost don't believe that we did it. It's such a huge step for us! But we will be paying like $330 a month for like the next 15 years. We're gonna have lots of cheap dinners, I can see it now. Tonight I went and got a Grande Nacho from Casa Ole to celebrate. So carby, but so worth it! We shared it and STILL couldn't finish the whole thing!

So even though my period is freaking out and just getting heavier and I'm having horrid cramps and my BBT is staying in the same range, I'm on a huge and very wonderful emotional high! SQUEEEEE!!!

Very Hopeful!

I'll get to the hopeful part in a minute. First I would like to let you all know that my body is going crazy on me. I think it just likes to piss me off. No, seriously. You all probably remember that I came off of Estrace/Prometrium on the 11th for abnormal (meaning continuous, no joke) bleeding. Well, the meds slowed it down, but it didn't completely stop. After I came off the meds, I was still bleeding about the same as before. A few days later it got a bit heavier, but my BBT has been pretty high for me. I figure it's just left over progesterone from the Prometrium. Well yesterday I started cramping, which is weird since I never, EVER cramp. I think the last time I had real cramps was in like the 9th or 10th grade. Really. Also, the bleeding got a little heavier. Today, cramps again. How do you crampy period women stand it? It sucks!

Anyways, today I'm bleeding like a freaking stuck pig, no joke. I haven't been able to take my temp the last couple of mornings, so I don't know if it's dropped or not....Who knows, maybe this could be the real beginning of an actual cycle. I'm just really confused. I think I read somewhere about how ovarian cysts could possibly hold hormones inside them or something.....Or maybe I'm just full of crap. But if that's true, then maybe mine have been holding left over progesterone until now....? Or maybe it's seriously taken THIS long for the Prometrium to get out of my system. Although, I kind of doubt that. Two and a half weeks? Probably not. But the point is that I have no idea what's going on. But I do feel like this might be something. A new cycle or a hormone shift or whatever. I'm tired and want bad food and I'm doing lots more bleeding and also cramping. So something has changed. I guess I'll try to get a good temp tomorrow...

My doctor will be back at work tomorrow, so I'm hoping that in the next week or so she'll call me with some possible surgery dates. Maybe they can also figure out if my insurance will pay for any/all of it....

About the hopefulness. Called the guy about the land today. He says that they want at least a thousand down. He said they'd reluctantly take $750 if we had to do that, but they want $1000. I told him I'd have $500 tomorrow. He said that'd be fine for now. Enough to get it off the market anyways. So I'll call him again tomorrow and figure out when he's gonna come out here. He says he has another client to meet in this area, it's just figuring out if he wants to see us before or after. I told him it was really up to him. So hopefully we can give him the five tomorrow and he can get things going. Probably in another couple of weeks we can give him the other five for the full down payment. I'm just really, really hoping this works out. Nine acres is a lot, but there's a lot we could do with it. If it does work out, we're going to be super broke for a long time, so pray for us on that one too. It'll be worth it, though.

Fatty

I ate so much bad food today. As I type I'm scarfing down some cherry ice cream with chocolate syrup. For dinner I had shrimp alfredo at Z's Fillin Station in Woodville. They're one of our bread customers, and they make awesome food! Seriously. And Mr. Z sold us some fish. Kingfish or something. I don't know, but it's a whole heck of a lot! I need recipes on how to cook it, so if anyone has any advice, I'd appreciate it.

We've been thinking about buying some land so that we can put a house or something on it. We found an ad in the East Texas Peddler, which is basically an entire newspaper of classified ads. Just full of people buying/selling/trading things. So anyways, we found an ad for 10 acres and they only wanted a down payment of $500! I know, right? So awesome! I called and it was already sold. But the plot right next to it is also for sale. It's 9 acres for about $28,000 and it's a triangle shaped lot. I asked if we could do the $500 down payment on that. He said he thinks they want at least a grand, but he'd try and see if we could do the five. We went and looked at it today in person. It's HUGE! It's about 8 miles from where we live now. It's outside of town in a pretty rural area, which we love. And it already has electricity, which is great. I'm gonna call the agent tomorrow to let him know that we like it and see about the down payment. I really hope that we can work something out, especially since Keith is really into the idea right now.

That's pretty much all that's on my mind for now. Thanks for all the well wishes for the D&C! Please wish us luck with the land thing. We want it sooooo badly!

What a Waste of Gas

So. I drove two hours to go to my doctor's appointment today. Funny story. I thought it was at 1:45, so I got there at 1:20ish. No. It was at 2:45. Luckily I was hungry and didn't mind driving the one block to Chick Fil A. I invited my cousin Jenny, but she couldn't meet me because her very pregnant sister was visiting. Lots of women would've just gone through the drive through and had their lunch in their vehicle. Not me. I didn't really mind sitting alone. I ate and then read my book for a little while until it was time to go back to the doc's office. Even though the restaurant was kind of busy, it was still nice to sit there and have a little bit of "me time."

Anyways, the appointment. After sitting in the waiting room for 20 minutes, and then the exam room for 30, I saw the doctor. Not my usual doctor. But she was still nice, maybe not really friendly like my doctor, but nice. Anyways, she asked me questions about my menstrual history and treatments we've done, told me my blood work all came back great, and then gave me two options. She said I can either take progesterone only from days 1-12 for the next 3 months and if that doesn't work then do the D&C. Or I could just go straight to the D&C. That's what I decided to do. Why should I do more hormones when they didn't work last time? Right? Right. So I asked a few questions and clarified that for no reason would I take birth control after the D&C. I said if they want to try me on hormones when my uterus is all empty and fresh, then that's cool. I can do that. But no BC.

EDIT: The way she explained it is that my endometrium is maturing in different stages. Normally, when the lining sheds, the first day of your period, one side will shed. The second day, another part will shed. And so on and so forth until there is no lining left to slough off. Then it all starts maturing again from scratch. She said that most likely mine is maturing in different sections. So maybe the left side is maturing while the right side is shedding and everything is taking turns shedding and it's going on forever and ever. She said that they don't always know what causes it, but that there's an excellent chance that the D&C will help each section start maturing at the same time.

So she said we'll do a hysteroscopy and a D&C. We didn't schedule it because she wants my regular doctor to go ahead and do that. But she did say that they'd pick out several dates and let me choose one of them. Hopefully they can give me one on a Wednesday morning since I'll need someone to drive me home after the procedures are done. I could always have someone from Anahuac drive me from Baytown to their house, but I don't want to stay the night anywhere but at my own house. Besides, I would be so lonely without Keith to hold me. But my point is that we could've discussed all of this over the phone.

We called a guy about a 9 acre plot about 8 miles from where we live now. We're gonna take a look at it on Wednesday to see if we like it, then give him a call and start working things out to see if we can get it financed. We'll see. I'll let y'all know how that goes when it rolls around.

Long But Fulfilling Day

So today was long. Or at least it felt long. I actually slept in a bit today, but I did lots.

We were going to go to Anahuac yesterday for Keith's ten year reunion, but then decided not to. But then we decided that we wanted to go anyways. So we did. We got into town last night around 9 and went to visit my aunt and uncle at their new house. Also to consume alcohol. We had fun drinking and talking politics (Nobama), then we ate some pizza and went back to Keith's mom's house. We pretty much went straight to bed.

We woke up this morning and we were just appalled by the state the house was in. Violet has been staying at the hospital with her husband Mat for weeks. He had lung surgery and has been in ICU, on and off of life support. Mat's son Adam has been home doing nothing all week. Actually, he's been making a huge mess. Violet comes home every few days, cleans Adam's mess, and then goes back to the hospital. This time the mess was awful. Just horrendous. So Keith drove Adam to Memorial Hermann and picked Violet up and brought her to lunch. During this time we cleaned the house.

There were gnats all over the place. Some of the dished had maggots. The laundry room was full of trash and the cat litter hadn't been changed in a very long time. There were dried chihuahua poop rocks everywhere and dried puddles of pee. Adam and his girlfriend had cooked several dinners and didn't wash one single dish. The fridge was full of disgusting leftovers. They didn't clean one thing up at all. So I went into Baytown and picked up a ton of cleaning supplies, called up my Aunt Denise and the neighbor Cathy, and we went to town. I washed dishes today that almost made me vomit. We used a ton of bug spray, Lysol, and Febreeze. It took us a good couple of hours, but in the end we got the place cleaned up and smelling nice. It made us so happy to see her come home and be able to just relax on the couch.

I'm just so horrified at how lazy they were this entire week. Adam won't even stay more than one night at the hospital with his dad. It's sad, and I know that one day he's going to regret the way he's acting now. But the point is that we got it clean.

The other highlight of the day is that we brought my baker's rack and antique Singer cabinet sewing machine to Violet's. She's going to hold on to them for me so that they don't get ruined over at my sister's house. They had them just sitting in the yard and were going to SCRAP the sewing machine for money! Can you freaking believe that? Maybe if her boyfriend would get a real freaking job they'd have money. But I don't want to get started on that right now. My sister disappointed me very much this weekend and I just don't want to think about it at the moment. You know what you did cuz I told you not to several times. Irresponsible, that's what that is.

And lastly, I have my doctor's appointment tomorrow. Ready to get that crap over with and possibly get procedures scheduled.

I'm pretty sure that's it for now.

Trying New Things

Tonight, I made homemade biscuits using whole wheat and buckwheat flour. They were pretty freaking awesome, and they taste great with a bit of honey! I also made gravy using buckwheat flour instead of white flour. It was ok. It was a bit too thick and needed more seasoning. I'll have to experiment a little more, but the meal turned out ok in the end.

I'm willing the days to move faster. I want to get this appointment over with. I want to know my blood work results. I want to know when we'll do the D&C/endometrial biopsy. What I really want to know is when they do the D&C, will they try to get the entire lining out, or just some of it? And if they take all of it, wouldn't it make sense to do more hormones then? I just don't really know how all of that will work. I just really don't want them to try and force me back on birth control. It never does anything for me unless I take a pill that's the exact same dose each day. So not Ortho tri cyclen, which is what they always give me. But I'll be seeing a different doctor who happens to know basically everything about me from my sister. So that may help.

Anyways, I'm pretty out of it right now, so I'm gonna get off the 'net for now.

Lots of Things

So, we have a few things going on right now. But let's start with this: my freakin sister and her dirty ass feet. She played on my computer and put her feet against the wall and now my wall is all dirty and I'm gonna have to wash it! GRR! It's actually not that big of a deal. I have a magic eraser. It's just irritating that she's going on 19 and still has the same dirty feet she's always had.

Ok. The thing with the scam and I cancelled my card? Yeah, about that. I was being irrational and hasty and ordered generic clomid online with no prescription. And then I got scared, so I cancelled my order and the next morning I cancelled my card. Well, the pills came anyways. They were generic clomid (fertomid), 25 mg. There were 30 of them. They were shipped to me from India. But, BUT, they came in a sealed blister pack. Like cold medicine comes. They didn't appear to be tampered with, and all of the information was printed on the packaging, just like you would find on regular meds. But Keith made me throw them away. I know it was probably the right thing to do, but I'm still sad about it. What do you think?

My doctor's appointment is on Monday. I'm ready to go and get it over with. I want to try and discuss maybe another ultrasound just to check, and then the D&C. It's funny. A D&C is actually what I wanted a few months ago, and now that it looks like I'll actually be getting one, I'm kinda freaked by the possibilities of what they may find when they run tests. The actual procedure is pretty routine, so I'm not super worried about that. Just the results.

And now we're entertaining the idea of moving come June. I really, really want a house, but I don't think that's gonna happen. So we're looking at "manufactured homes," aka doublewides. Which are surprisingly nice. Lots of them are actually nicer than half of the houses we'd find around here anyways. But the point is that we're already looking into the homes, and soon I'll start looking into land to put it on. I personally don't think we'd need more than an acre, but I think Keith wants more than that. Fine, but I'm not mowing all of that crap! We're looking into 3 or 4 bed, and definitely 2 full bath. I'm actually feeling pretty optimistic about it, which is good since the last time we did something like this, it fell through. But they come with all the appliances and the place we're looking at does everything you might need. Land clearing, foundation, moving, skirting. Everything.

Anywhoooooo. Bedtime.

I Keep Forgetting

Stupid blog. Actually no. Stupid Krissy. I just keep forgetting to post. It's mostly because I don't really have much going on right now. It's getting somewhat hard to make my everyday life seem worthy of a daily blog post. Cuz I'm basically a really super boring person. But I have pretty hair, so that kinda makes up for it.

My family left today. I'm glad, but sad. Glad because it was really loud and cluttered. Sad because now my house is childless again. I really, REALLY liked having lil babies around to play with and cuddle. Damn you, Infertility! Why can't you just go away?

Anyways, we carved pumpkins, which was messy and not quite as fun as I remember it being from when I was little. Probably because the few times we ever did it, my mom did most of it. Basically all I really remember doing was scraping the guts out and poking the holes for the pattern. Mom used the little saws. And now I know why. Because they're CHEAP!!! They bend so easily that it's borderline infuriating. And it was less fun because Jon kept throwing things off of the balcony and putting Keith's cigarette butts into my pumpkin. I carved two and Kerri carved one. I don't have a very good pic of hers, but I'll try to add mine. Maybe it will work. Sorry if it doesn't, pics are a novelty to me.

My Puking Pumpkin.

Cute Dragon Pumpkin.

Ok. Looks like it worked to me. Anyways, those are my pumpkins. Please feel free to enjoy their wonderfulness.

I'm off to bed for now.

What The Eff?

My BBT is just going up and up. I don't understand it. I assumed it would be lower due to me starting a "new" cycle. I'm kinda pissed at my stupid body. Why can't it just work right? But I know something is going on. My temp is on the rise-ish and I'm all broken out. It's stupid!

I'm loving all of the cuddle time I'm getting with Little Kris and all the play time we're getting with Jon. Someday we'll have our own children and we'll spend this kind of time with them. I just wish Jon would stop yelling and use words. And now he wants to sit on my lap since I'm on the computer. What a turd.

I'm hoping Keith will bring them all up to see me at work tomorrow so that my coworkers can meet the kids. They see so many pictures and hear so much about them, so I'm sure they'll enjoy finally seeing them in person.

And I'm pretty sure we're going to carve a couple of pumpkins tomorrow since Kerri and I both want to and Jon is finally old enough to at least get a kick out of it. So I guess we'll pick up some patterns and tools to make that happen. I already have tea light candles to go inside them. I'll also straighten this place up again tomorrow. I probably should've done it tonight, but I just didn't feel like it. Damn destructive toddler! But he's cute and funny, so I'll overlook it for now.

Monday, October 18, 2010

So Freaking Tired!

I slept from 2 to 3am last night. Then I got up and worked with Keith all day. So needless to say, I'm exhausted even after an almost two hour nap.

If it's possible, my nephew is even more destructive than the last time they visited. No joke. And not only that, but he loves his baby sissy, like super much, and is always trying to pick her up or give her kisses. If we don't watch him, he'll end up tearing her to pieces or smothering her. But he does love her very much, and that's good.

It's really great getting to hold her and cuddle her like I've been able to do for the past couple days. Although it does only make me want my own that much more. But that's ok. Like I said yesterday, I've started doing the BBT thing again, so I feel like I'm taking a step in the right direction. And not only that, but I've started my prenatal and folic acid again, along with a B complex vitamin and an extra B6 supplement. The good thing about B vitamins is that they're water soluble, which means that whatever my body doesn't use I'll just pee out. Not like A and E vitamins. They're fat soluble, which means if you take too much, it stays in your fat cells and can really mess you up.

It's really fun to watch Keith play with Jon and keep his eye on Little Kris. He's gonna make a freakin awesome dad someday.

Each day I find myself more and more ready to get to the next step in my treatment. I'm freaked out about the D&C because of the cost and of what they might find. Like, what if I have endometrial cancer? Then I'll be so totally screwed. The symptoms are irregular bleeding, abdominal pain, difficulty or pain while urinating (which I don't really have), and pain during sex. I have 3 out of 4 of those. Plus you're at a higher risk if you've never had kids, if you don't ovulate regularly, and the longer you've had your period in years. So I've never had a kid because I don't ovulate and I've had my period since I was 12. You can see how my mind is getting me all worked up.

Anyways, Keith is already in bed waiting for me to bring the cuddles. Nighty night!

Really Irritated

Things were going great until like ten minutes ago. I'm just feeling grouchy. I don't know why, but I don't like it.

I got almost everything done today that I wanted to do. I didn't get to wash towels, but I got everything else done. So I guess it could be worse. I did most of the work while Keith and Kerri were taking a nap. Jon was in his pack and play watching tv and doing silly things to make me giggle. So I didn't really have anything or anyone all in the way.

I made some awesome cookies today! Keith found the recipe online.

http://www.cookiemadness.net/2010/01/whole-wheat-chocolate-chip-cookies-made-with-coconut-palm-sugar/comment-page-1/#comment-60332

It's probably not necessary to use palm sugar, but it really gives it something extra that regular sugar just can't do. And you can't even tell that they're whole wheat! Seriously, they taste like regular old cookies. I baked them for 11 minutes and they were still really soft, so next time I may do the full 12 or maybe even 13 minutes.

I started BBT charting again. I'm only two days in and I'm confused. My temperatures have been unusually high for me. They've been high like my post ovulation temps used to be when I was lucky enough to ovulate at all. But that may just be residual progesterone from the Prometrium. But I'm still not really sure what to think of that. It's probably nothing.

Anyways, I'm actually writing this from my iPhone whilst lying in bed. So I'm gonna go ahead and cut this one off here. Later!

Late Night

We went and picked up my sister and her kids. I got home from work at 5 and we just got back. So that's how long that took.

We'll talk more tomorrow, readers.

Love Letters

Dear Krissy,

It's me, Hormones. I just wanted to let you know how much I love living in your body. It's so entertaining to make you cry and be bitchy to everyone for no reason. It warms my heart so much to know that there are days when I make you feel fat and worthless. I simply adore the way you give into my every whim, be it the urge to cry, sing, eat, or scream. The constant mood swings feed my euphoria and send me soaring sky high. Please know that I'll never leave you to make anyone else feel horrible, for you are too good to be true.

Forever Yours,
Hormones

Hormones,

It's me, Krissy. Fuck you.

Go Away,
Krissy

Anyways. I'm about 97% sure that yesterday was CD1. It makes sense. I mean, I stopped taking my meds on Sunday night. I spotted for 3 days, and then yesterday it was slightly heavier and red. Plus my boobs have been sore, I was kinda cranky yesterday, plus that thing where I passed out on the couch. So yeah, all the symptoms add up. Today it was slightly heavier again and I've been freaking Bitchosaurus Rex. No joke. So that's the big development on that. I think I may try taking soy tomorrow, but I'm still not sure. But I did start up my vitamins again yesterday, so that's good too.

But that's enough for now. I'll talk to y'all tomorrow.

Short and Sweet

Wow. I'm gonna try and make this a quick one. I didn't realize how tired I was. Keith and I both fell asleep on the couch! It felt so nice to be cuddled up so close. But I really want to crawl into my nice, warm, soft, squishy bed.

About my period.... I don't know. I was kinda hoping that coming off Prometrium would make my period start and that it would be a noticeable difference in flow. That way I could tell when it was really CD1 for sure. But it's not happening that way. It's still kinda weird. Like a bit more than what I would call spotting, but less than what I would call a light flow. Maybe tomorrow it will be heavier. I've never hoped for that before, but I just want to be certain for once!

I made my doctor's appointment for the 25th at 2:45. I was a bit reluctant to go ahead with that date since I'll be seeing a different doctor this time. My doctor won't be in the office that day. But I've heard good things about the other doctor. I just hope that between my record, my own words, and what she knows about me from my sister that she'll make good choices about the next steps in my treatment. I think I want to have another ultrasound and then do the D&C.

Oh, and I have some good news. I weighed 130.2 this morning! That's awesome! That means that I've lost 20 pounds total since May 11th. I wore size 5 jeans today, for crying out loud! A few weeks ago I was confined to size 9 only! And I also tried on my bodice I got from the Renaissance Fair two years ago. It fits pretty well for gaining and losing weight in between wearing it. Although I think I may have weighed about 120 when I got it. But it's great the way it is for now.

Anyways, I'm off here to clean up the leftovers and then go collapse into bed.

Cancelled

So I cancelled my debit card today. Better safe than sorry.

And I feel all excited right now for some reason. I just have a stomach full of butterflies, but I'm not sure why. Maybe it's gas. Ok, just kidding. It's excitement. But I still have no idea why.

I found some cheap photography lights on Amazon.com and I'm thinking seriously about getting them. I think it would pay off. Besides, I want to give my sister some great Christmas photos.

I really wanted to try Clomid since I'm supposed to be starting a new cycle soon, but it doesn't look like that's going to happen. I've read that soy isoflavones have similar properties, but I've also read mixed reviews about that. So I'm not particularly sure If I want to try soy or not. And I also know that Vitex (agnus castus, chasteberry) has great value as a fertility herb, but it takes like 3 months to start working. I've taken it before and it did make me ovulate back in June, which is good, but it didn't do anything past that one time. And it did take months of taking it to actually work. So I'm on the fence about that one too. I just really don't know what to do at all right now. I really think now would be the best time to try something what with a new cycle coming up (hopefully) but I can't decide what I want.

Anyways, I took my last hormone dose Sunday night and I'm still waiting for a big change in the way things are going. I'm ready to be considered CD1 already. I want to get this ball rolling. But that's all for now, I suppose.

SHIT

I ordered something online and now I'm scared that it's not for real. I hate my stupid self! Now that it's submitted I just have this really bad feeling . So maybe I'll cancel my card in the morning..... I wish I could do it at my bank's website, but I can't. Sooo.......hopefully nothing bad will happen between now and tomorrow morning.

In other news, I'm baking a chocolate cheesecake for Keith. He finished off the other one yesterday and I thought I'd give chocolate a shot. Plus I bought a $20 hand mixer from Walmart and needed to try it out. It's super powerful. It's very fast, even on the lowest setting.

Not much else to report besides the fact that I'm feeling nervous about the card thing.

I'm Soo Laaaaame...

...I probly think this blog is about meeeee....

Except it actually is about me, so I guess it's all good.

Last night was the last dosage of hormones. Today has been pretty average as far as that goes. I'm just waiting to see what the next few days bring. Like...will it be just my average flow, or will blood just gush from me like some kind of endometrial volcano? I'm kinda hoping neither of those. I'd rather it just kind of stay awayish for a few more days and then maybe be regular for a few days and then go away.... Like a normal cycle. I haven't had one of those since...well....ever. That's cause for concern right there. But I can't go back in time and slap sense into my parents (I begged to go to the doctor, but they feared I wanted BC for sex. So not the case, naive parents) so I guess it doesn't matter much.

I maybe turned on highlighting in the post and I'm not sure how to turn it off......? If not, then disregard this section of text. If so, then I'm sorry.

Anyways, I worked with Keith today and was super tired. Still am. But the point is that raging hormones and exhaustion cause me to become MegaBitch. I was yelling at him over Fable. I felt bad about it, but we made up.

Done. I'm pretty sure I'm gonna get offline, eat cherry ice cream with chocolate topping (sugar free and low fat for you Diet Nazis), and play The Sims 2 Seasons (I'm not cool enough for Sims 3. Besides, we're getting it for XBox!).

Lazy Day

Today we did absolutely nothing in the way of work. We had one of those wonderful Sundays where we just sat around the house playing video games and just hanging out with each other. It was amazing, and I think we both really needed it.

I did make english muffin egg sandwiches for lunch, though. They were so good! I don't even like english muffins and I thought they were freakin awesome. I fried some eggs seasoned with lemon pepper and covered them in shredded cheese. While I was waiting for it to melt, I sliced up a tomato, some onion, and some red and orange bell pepper. Once that was done, I split open the muffins and put a bit of light miracle whip on each one, and then I put the whole sandwich together. They were super good.

I'm really excited because tonight I'm downloading the original Fable to the XBox 360! So when Fable 3 comes out, I'll have all of them. It's gonna be great.

And I ordered Keith some work shirts today. And a couple for me, too. He really needs some since his original shirts are basically falling apart. I keep having to sew them up! And now when I go to work with him on Mondays, I'll have a Mrs. Baird's shirt to wear, too. They should send me a confirmation email within the next 48 hours and then they'll get them ready and ship them. So he may actually have to wear his old shirts for another week or two, but that should be just fine. He's waited this long, right?

But I'm off. Time to get ready for bed.

The Sims 2 Seasons

I forgot all about everything tonight because of that game! I've been playing it for like 3 hours straight. How pathetic of me! But I couldn't help it. You can do so many awesome things with it. So far I've only gardened and turned into a PlantSim. It was pretty neat. Plus I built a kickass house. That's almost the best part of the whole game. Building and furnishing the house. It's awesome and the landscaping is beautiful! I could make a living outta this.

So I supplemented with progesterone cream today at 10, 2, 4, and 6, and did the least amount of physical activity possible. Didn't work. Oh well. I didn't have really high hopes that it would, so I wasn't really that disappointed. No matter. Tomorrow is the last day anyways.

I had a small discussion about my blog today with my boss. He recently got a Facebook, so he's sees the link every time I post it. Mainly due to him not having a whole mess of friends like most of the rest of us do. We were joking about it and he said he doesn't read it because he doesn't want to. Liar pants on fire! I bet he secretly reads it all the time. Ok, probably not, but that would be pretty funny. I don't really blame him though. If I were him, I probably wouldn't want to read about an employee's period problems. We get enough of that out of Cathy.

Cathy is one of my coworkers. She's hideously annoying. Almost nobody likes her. Mostly because she has a tendency to brag, over exaggerate, one up people, and just plain not know when to shut the hell up. Lately her biggest gripe has been that her period won't stop and that she's going through umpteen tampons in a day. Personally, I think she's a liar. She may have it everyday, but I highly doubt that she's going through 13 or 17 tampons in one day or whatever. In my opinion, that would warrant a trip to the emergency room. She's like 47, so we know she's going through menopause. And yet, through all of these problems, she refuses to get a hysterectomy. I'm not sure why. She has like 5 kids or some shit. There's literally no reason to keep her uterus at this point. But I seriously think that she's a liar. At least I honestly have my period everyday. And I sure as hell don't call in to work for it like she does. I might want to, but I don't. So put that in your pipe and smoke it.

Speaking of uteruses.....uteri...? Anyways, speaking of them, I'm about ready to give up on mine. I'm not sure what it's problem is. I mean, what did I ever do to you, Uterus? And you Ovaries? What have I ever purposely done to piss y'all off? Probably nothing! And yet they are traitorous bitches. They don't want to do anything that I want to do. They're like those friends that invite you over and then just shoot down every fun suggestion you make. What jerks. Why can't we all just get along, Lady Parts? I'm not trying to be a dictator. I just want you to make babies. It's basically what you're there for. So please, let's try to get it together here pretty soon. I promise, if you make me a baby within the next...oh...year, I'll do something special for you. Not sure what I could do for you , Lady Parts, but I'll sure try!

Sincerely, Your Slightly Annoyed and Heartbroken Vessel,
Krissy.

Theories

So I've had two good and very valid theories as to why I'm going almost all day with no bleeding and then BAM! Getting it like I used to with no warning in the evenings. The first one is that I'm doing too much physical activity. Meaning unloading the truck. This makes sense. I'm lifting and doing a bunch of stuff that I don't do for most of the day. The second theory is that by the end of the day my Prometrium is kinda wearing off. I'm thinking that it's a combination of both of them.

It makes me feel a little better, but if that's the case, I wish my doctor would've prescribed Prometrium as a twice a day thing instead of just once. I have progesterone cream that I could supplement with, but at this point I don't even know if it would be worth it. I mean, I just took my 18th dose of pills. So I only have tomorrow and Sunday left. But it may be worth a shot to slather on a bit of that cream throughout the day. Whatever helps me get one freaking period free day.

But in better news, I thought I was spotting all day. I had to resist the urge to run into the bathroom and check every five minutes. So I had to wait until I actually had to pee to go check. I was so puzzled the first two times because I was so sure that I felt moisture. Well, the third time it hit me. Cervical fluid! DUH! How could I be so blind? But in all fairness, I haven't experienced that at all in months. Maybe even in the entire past year. I've been horribly, horribly dry. TMI, but whatever. I'm so infertile that it's ridiculous! I mean, I was so totally jazzed about that little hint of moisture that it was pathetic. Because seriously, who gets excited about vaginal moisture that isn't even of a fertile quality? Apparently I do.

So now, by the end of this blog, I've decided to give the progesterone cream a shot. I don't see how it could really hurt at this point. Either it will work, or it won't. If it does, then cool. If it doesn't, then I'll still be in the same position I'm in now.

But I'm off now to piddle around on my computer before I head to bed.

One Step Forward, Two Steps Back

Yesterday was a great day for hormones. Only had a bit of pink twice. Today was even better. Nothing, and I mean nothing, at all. Until about an hour ago, that is. And it came back with a vengeance. Not a couple of spots or anything that would have been totally acceptable. Nope. That's just not my luck. It's basically the same as it was a week ago. Which sucks. So. Bad. Hence the title.

Here I was, thinkin I had it made in the shade for the next few days. Although this cold just be a fluke, like Keith thinks it is. I'm not so sure, but then again I'm totally pessimistic when it comes to my reproductive organs. I feel like I'm taking these pills for no reason most of the time. But they HAVE done something, so that's good. I guess I'll do a short review of how things have gone.

Estrogen Pros:
  • Nicer person all the way around.
  • No more horribly painful sex.
  • Slightly increased sex drive
Estrogen Cons:
  • Oral thrush (which has actually gone away after taking acidophilus and lots of antiseptic mouthwash.)
  • Didn't really do shit for my period.
  • Slightly more emotional/sensitive.
  • Tiny white pimples on face and neck. More an annoyance than anything else.
Progesterone Pros:
  • Whoa, whoa, whoa. Sex crazed.
  • Slowed the flow down by a lot.
Progesterone Cons:
  • Horribly bitchy.
  • Raging temper.
  • I hate everyone most of the time.
  • Pimples on back and some on face.
  • Hasn't completely stopped my period, but I can't complain too much since it's been way less.
So there ya have it. That's what the hormones have been doing. Not a lot in the way of period, but they've certainly fixed the sex issues, which is another reason why they were prescribed to me.

As far as the bleeding goes, I'm thinking of having another ultrasound done before I decide to do a D&C. That's a dilation and curettage, for those of you who don't know. It's when they dilate your cervix and use a tool and go into your uterus and take samples of the lining. They also use this method in early abortions, which I would never ever have, but that's not the issue here. In my case they'd be taking samples and running tests on them. Basically like a biopsy. I'm not explaining that one. Just google it. ANYWAYS, I think another ultrasound would be good to check the thickness of my endometrium and double check for any fibroids or polyps. I'll also probably get a second opinion at an RE's office. (Reproductive Endocrinologist.)

But I'm off. Here's hoping that tonight's bleeding is just a fluke....

What say you?

Cuz I really don't have much to say at all today.

I met my niece. She's so cute! And tiny. And I pretty much want to steal her and keep her forever and ever. But nobody will let me do that, so I guess we'll just have to keep trying to make our own tiny (but full term) baby. And I'm pretty excited. My sister wants Christmas pictures taken, but can't afford them. So I offered to do them for her. I'm pretty sure I have an awesome idea. I think I'll be able to do a pretty good job of it, anyways.

And I've been commissioned to make a cheesecake for the holiday dinners. So hooray for me! The one I made the other day is pretty good, but I didn't cook it quite long enough. It could've used another 30 minutes, but it's still good. And I made a blackberry topping to go on it, which also turned out amazingly!

Bleeding has been less today. I'd consider it spotting, even. That's so good! I'm excited about it. I'm hoping that it'll be even less in the next few days. I have an appointment scheduled for the eleventh, but I think I'm gonna reschedule it for the 25th. I think it would be stupid to go to an appointment the day after I stop my meds. See, Prometrium supposedly makes your period the worst period of your life, pretty much. (I'm not looking forward to that at all. I have a bad feeling that I'll have to call in to work one of those days.) So even though I wouldn't say my period has stopped right now, I want to see if it will get heavy when I stop my meds and then maybe stop after a week or so. I just think it would be logical to wait for the appointment, because I could totally see my doctor telling me to come back in two weeks if the bleeding hasn't stopped. So I'll just beat her to it and reschedule. Does that make any sense?

Anyways, I'm done. It's shower time.

Niece

My niece is so cute and tiny! I want to steal her away so much.

Now we're hanging out with Kaylie and some old friends.

Post will be better tomorrow with more details.

Today

So today my niece was born. Esmeralda Kristine Flores. She's cute. My sister was induced and did not have an epidural. They say she was pretty much the devil. I wish I could've been there.

The hormones I was prescribed are almost up. Today is day 14. So only 6 days after I take tonight's dose. And they have not done one single thing for me. I'm still on my period. And I'm really pissed off about it. People keep telling me to relax, but this is not a mind over matter kind of deal. Either the meds work or they don't. If they don't, I get to have surgery. So of course I'm pretty fucking worried.

I just want to be normal and have my body work right. I don't understand what I've done to deserve this. It's almost not even about babies anymore. It's about me wanting to be rid of this problem. I don't want to have my period anymore. I just want to be regular. Why can't I have that?

And no, your words of comfort probably won't comfort me that much. More often than not they annoy the shit out of me. I don't want to hear that I need to relax or that everything happens for a reason. Fuck that. If everything happens for a reason, then I want to know why the hell this is happening to me. I want a valid, specific reason. And "relax" is not good advice. "Relax" does not put anybody's mind at ease when they have a medical problem, which is what this is. And it sure doesn't help relax anyone when you tell them to. It mostly annoys and then we stress over not being able to relax.

But I'm done with my rant. Before I decide to have surgery, I'm gonna see a reproductive endocrinologist for a good second opinion. There's one in town and with my insurance I don't need a referral.

I wish I had more to say about my niece, but I haven't even seen her in person yet. I'm sure I'll have more to say about her tomorrow night after I've seen her.

SuperwomanSundays

I'm totally coining that phrase for myself. The past couple of Sundays have been extraordinarily productive. I slept in today, we tried the little breakfast diner here in town, unloaded the truck, and somehow I still managed to do some grocery shopping, set up the office space, wash all the laundry, make a homemade cheesecake, pizza, and pumpkin spice cookies! So needless to say, I'm pretty proud of myself.

We've had the windows and doors open for most of the day since it's been so nice outside. I love it! I wish it could be so mild like this for most of the year, except for about 3 months of heat wave hot summer. The weather is one of the big reasons I was able to bake all of my goodies today. If it had been hot, it would have been complete Hell in this apartment. But with everything open, it actually got kind of chilly in here. The only thing I wasn't able to make was the cheesecake topping. Mainly because I forgot to buy any fruit for it.

And do not worry about me being off of my diet or anything. Everything I've made is low carb diet friendly, which is basically all I'm doing. Just staying away from bad carbs and most bread. I let myself eat lots of good carbs. And sometimes bad ones too. You have to cheat a little, otherwise you'll never stick to your diet! Besides, who wants to be good all the time? Nobody. So eating white bread is how I get to be bad. And yes, I am fully aware of how lame that sounds. So what.

Ready for my lil niecey poo to be born! I so badly wish I could leave here tonight and be there for it, but I can't. We're definitely going Tuesday afternoon though! I love her already. And I'm only a little jealous of my sister for having two babies and me having none. Just a little. But I still love the hell outta those kids!

Prometrium did NOT make me a crazy bitch today, which is good. It may have something to do with the company I keep during the day. Or maybe I just got annoyed too much yesterday and it stuck with me because of the meds. Who knows? But when I was just on plain estrogen, everyone agrees that my mood actually improved. So I'm not really sure what's up with that.

And now, my friends, I'm off to go fold the laundry. Later Gators!

Prometrium

So....Prometrium pretty much makes me the devil. DEVIL. Like today, I was in a murderous rage. I wanted to rip people's appendages off and cram them down their throats. Or maybe rip their faces off. And all for no apparent reason. Well, besides the Prometrium. It's the worst. But I think there was less bleeding today.... I didn't wear my Instead cup, so that's a start. Maybe it will become less and less over the next day or two.

And I totally can't stop coughing. It's a ridiculous amount. I coughed so much today that I threw up a little. It was very, very uncomfortable and slightly gross. Also, the right side of my nose keeps producing gunk. It's disgusting.

Only a couple more days until my sister gets induced! That means my niece will be here soon! I'm excited to meet her and spend time with everyone.

Um, I took my Prometrium an hour ago. It's making me really dizzy and kind of drunk feeling, so I'm gonna go take my shower and get into bed. Goodnight.

Anxious!!!

As soon as I write this blog, I will take my very first dose of Prometrium. I read the pamphlet that came with it and read online reviews. They're all very mixed, so I'm not sure how I'll like it or how I'll react. Hopefully it works and I have no more period!!!

My sissy poo texted me today. She was kind of upset. Still is a little, but at least I was able to explain myself and things are better now.

There's actually not a whole lot to talk about today. I'm just really REALLY excited about Prometrium!!!

So I'm gonna get off of here and take my meds. Keep your fingers crossed that Mother Nature's "gift" goes away so that we can finally, FINALLY have a somewhat normal sex life and maybe make beautiful, smart, funny, stubborn babies.
